All Progressives Congress (APC) Lagos State governorship candidate, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, will on Sunday, January 27 be hosted to a Grand House Reception (GHR) at The Niteshift Coliseum.
It comes four years after a similar honour was extended to Sanwo-Olu’s main rival in the March 2 governorship election, Jimi Agbaje, of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Mr Agbaje contested the 2015 governorship election against incumbent Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of the APC.
Mr Ambode was also hosted to a GHR at The Niteshift Coliseum in the run-up to the 2015 election.
The reception for Mr Sanwo-Olu is expected to attract top politicians, captains of industry and patrons of the club located on Salvation Road in Opebi, Ikeja, Lagos.
Like others before him, Sanwo-Olu will sit on the “hot seat” where he will share his combined experience in both public and private sector.
Former President Goodluck Jonathan, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Senate presidents Anyim Pius Anyim, Adolphus Wabara and Kenneth Nnamani, and former Ghanaian President Jerry Rawlings are some of the personalities hosted to a GHR in the past.
Guv’nor of The Coliseum, Ken Calebs-Olumese, said the reception for Sanwo-Olu will feature all the glitz, glamour and razzmatazz accustomed to the club.
