Veteran actress Franca Brown has recounted her last encounter with martial arts actor Natty Bruce before his death.
Journalist Shaibu Husseini announced the death of the actor in a post via Facebook on Monday.
“I have just been reliably informed that light has dimmed on foremost Nollywood’s ‘martial arts’ actor Natty Bruce.
“The green belter was passionate about integrating Martial Arts in Nollywood movies. He also tried to produce a full-length Martial Art movie… Good night Oga Natty…… bye bye Sir,” he wrote.
Reacting to the shocking death in a post via Facebook on Wednesday, Franca Brown shared a picture of herself, actor and filmmaker Zib Ejiro on a movie set and narrated her last meeting with the deceased.
The Plane Crash actress recollected how she said something to Natty which made the actor laugh out so loud that Zeb’s attention was drawn to the scene.
“So sad! Death came calling faster than we thought. Natty we took this picture on the set of our Icon Zeb Ejiro, where I said something and you were laughing so loud that the Icon asked you to share the reason of your laughter and you only replied that the laughter was caused by mama Franca and it will be best to hear it from her. You then told me that I missed my calling and should go and join the comedians in their act,” she began.
“I was saved from telling the joke again by the Production Manager who announced that the set was ready for the artists on set. This was my last encounter with you. On that day l told you about the stunt in my script and you said you can’t wait to come on board when l go on location. Behold death took you faster than lightning but God knows best!
“As you journey to the world beyond, l wish you farewell because I know that you have gone to a better place.”
Franca Brown also said Natty gave her a few stunt tips, promising to apply them on set with the exception of a jump which she jokingly expressed concerns over due to her “old age”.
