A driver with the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) on Friday jumped into the Lagos Lagoon from the Third Mainland Bridge.
His body was recovered by local divers and boat operators who tried in vain to save him.
This was confirmed on Twitter by the Rapid Response Squad of the Lagos State Police Command.
The victim’s body has been taken to the Ebute Ero Police Division.
A man has jumped into the Lagoon from 3rd Mainland Bridge. RRS riders got to the scene almost immediately and radioed for assistance from the Marine Police, LASG rescue Boats & local divers who recovered the corpse . Spokesman of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Kehinde Adebayo, also confirmed the incident.
A source at the Lagos headquarters of FRCN told Qed.ng that the news has thrown the Lagos headquarters of the agency into mourning.
