Senegalese-born French film noir actress, Aissa Maiga is in Lagos, Nigeria, filming her first English language movie, Comatose.
She joins Nigerians actors, Fabian Lojede and Bimbo Akintola, and other cast and crew from across the continent to star in the production by 1Take Media, which explores end-of-life decisions from an African perspective.

Comatose tells the story of two siblings in conflict over the fate of their mother, who is in a coma.
The two celebrated Nigerian actors are playing siblings Segun (Fabian) and Omowunmi (Bimbo) in a family drama over whether or not to pull the plug on their mother.
The cast and crew have just completed production in Durban, South Africa, where they filmed scenes with Hakeem Kae Kazim, who plays Dr Kalu; South African acting veteran Mary Twala, who plays the ill mother, Nana; along with Robert Whitehead, as  Dr. Collins; and Deborah Lettner, as Michelle.
Forty-one-year-old Aissa stars as Nandi.
The screenplay was co-written and co-produced by Fabian Lojede and Mickey Madoda Dube, who is an international award-winning film, TV and commercials director and producer, and also director of Comatose.
