Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Dr Boboye Oyeyemi, will on Friday, November 10 deliver the keynote paper at the 1st FRSC Celebrity Special Marshals Annual lecture.
The theme of the lecture is ‘Ember Months, The Rush, The Myth And Subsequent Effect’.

A statement jointly signed by Chris Kehinde Nwandu (Coordinator), Segun Arinze (Lagos Unit Coordinator) and Ogee Onazi (FCT Unit Coordinator) stated that the FRSC Celebrity Special Marshals scheme was established in 2001 to educate Nigerians about safe driving.
Celebrities act as FRSC ambassadors to educate and enlighten the public as part of their civic responsibilities.
The marshals embark on public campaigns at motor parks, high net worth areas and major roads.
They also propagate the culture of safe driving via radio, television and other promotional programmes.
The celebrity marshals also raise funds to assist the FRSC to procure working tools for its various activities
The annual lecture was instituted among other things to create a forum to evaluate the activities of the FRSC, proffer solutions to some of the challenges faced by the agency.
It is also an avenue to kick-start the ember months campaign and raise funds for celebrity special marshals’ activities.
