Singer, Zlatan Ibile, has claimed that Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele, asked him to stay away from fellow singer, Naira Marley, who was one of the guests at the birthday party she hosted amid the coronavirus lockdown, for which she was arrested.
The 25-year-old made this known in a post he shared on Instastories on Thursday.
“@funkejenifaakindele said I should stay away from Naira Marley because of my brand. She f***ked with Naira Marley, they arrested her, ” he wrote.
Funke was sentenced to 14 days of community service and ordered to pay a fine of N100,000 for hosting the party to celebrate her husband’s 43rd birthday.
She claimed that Naira Marley had been staying in her house because he had been shooting some scenes in one of her productions and decided to stay on after the lockdown was announced.
As punishment, Naira Marley and another singer, Small Doctor, who was also a guest, were ordered to formally apologise to the Lagos State Governement for flouting the lockdown order .
They were also ordered to contribute to the state’s anti-coronavirus campaign by making a free jingle to raise awareness about the pandemic.
