Actress Funke Akindele has declared herself as a strong black woman after her fourth Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award (AMVCA) for the best actress in a comedy category.
The actress turned filmmaker took to Instagram on Wednesday to declare that every Wednesday will be dedicated to celebrating strong black hardworking women like herself.
Funke Akindele also said she will be celebrating her #wardrobeWedenesday inspired by fellow actress Kate Henshaw.
In video uploaded on the platform, the 44-year-old wrote in parts: “This is to celebrate myself and other strong black hardworking women out there doing great things in their respective fields. I’m celebrating myself as a strong black woman who recently won the #AMVCAAWARDS for Best Actress in a Comedy (Movie/TV Series) for the fourth time.”
The actress bagged her fourth best actress award for Omo Ghetto The Saga at the recently held AMVCA in Lagos State.
