Comedy actor, Kayode Olasehinde, has debunked reports that actress, Funke Akindele, bought him a house after he was sacked from his home by flood.
The man popularly has Pa James stated this in a video posted on Instagram by Kunle Afod on Thursday.
Actress, Kemi Korede, had on Wednesday announced that Funke gave the veteran comedian a house
“On behalf of Pa James I want to say big thank you to Funke Akindele for the new apartment given to him by you,” Kemi wrote.
Speaking in the video shared by Afod, Pa James thanked all those who came to his rescue after his house in the Agbado Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area of Lagos got flooded.
In a message delivered in Yoruba, he particularly thanked Funke for her generous assistance.
He, however, clarified that what he got from her was money to rent another apartment, not a new house.
“Funke Akindele really tried for me a lot, she has been so supportive, she helped me in a very big way, but some media houses got it wrong when publishing it.
“She did not build or buy a house for me; she only gave me a reasonable amount of money to get a better apartment to stay with my family, mainly because of my health.
“So please, I’m not denying the fact that she helped me, but she didn’t buy me a house, she rented a better apartment for me.
“Thank you all, and God bless you,” Pa James said.
The actor also thanked Toyin Abraham, Ibrahim Chatta, Faithia Williams and several others for their help.
Funke has not made any public statement on the matter.
