Actress Funke Akindele is celebrating her invitation to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (organisers of the Oscars) amid the crisis in her marriage to rapper Abdulrasheed Bello, better known as JJC Skillz.
The actress went silent on Instagram after JJC left a shocking message for his Instagram followers on the platform on Thursday, June 30 where he announced his separation from Funke.
The news circulated the internet, causing reactions from fellow celebrities and fans.
Funke returned to Instagram on Friday morning. She, however, did not address her marriage issues.
Instead, the 44-year-old reposted congratulatory messages from her colleagues and fans over her invitation by The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, also known as the Oscars, to join the voting members of 2022.
Some of her colleagues who congratulated her include Etinosa Idemudia, Paschaline Alex, Sotayo Gaga, Alesh Sanni, Mike Godson and Tobi Makinde.
Funke Akindele also posted a video of her new look.
