Actress Kate Henshaw has said that her colleague and filmmaker Funke Akindele has remained resilient despite being unlucky in her personal life.
Kate Henshaw said this to media personality Chude Jideonwo in an interview published on Tuesday.
The actress said she is thankful to God that Funke did not allow her personal life to distract her from achieving tremendous success in her career.
“Funke is resilient, she has not been lucky in her personal life but thank God it didn’t dissuade her you know, people have been distracted and fallen because of personal because personal has a lot to do with your mind, heart, your spirit your peace, where you draw from.
But she has just kept on going and of course the political stuff. She came to me for advice and I said ‘Be ready, just be ready dragging, they will say this one but next'”.
In May 2012, Funke Akindele married her first husband Adeola Kehinde Oloyede. The couple divorced in July 2013, citing irreconcilable differences.

Funke and her second husband JJC Skillz got married in May 2016 in London.
Funke gave birth to twin boys in 2018 while they were married.
However, JJC Skillz announced his separation from Funke on Instagram in June 2022 for undisclosed reasons.
