Actress and filmmaker Omoni Oboli has congratulated her colleague Funke Akindele on making one billion naira with her latest film A Tribe Called Judah, adding that she is a number-one Nollywood powerhouse.
Film One Studios confirmed that the movie is officially the highest-grossing film in a statement released on Thursday.
Funke also shared the good news on her Instagram account and thanked everyone for their support.
Many of her colleagues including Omoni Oboli stormed the comment section of the post to congratulate Funke.
Omoni Oboli described Funke as the number one powerhouse and thanked her for shattering the ceiling.
She wrote: “YOU DID IT. Thank you for shattering that ceiling Funke! Nollywood thanks you! We are so proud!!! A POWER HOUSE Number 1 May God keep you for us my queen.”

Directed by Adeoluwa Owu and Funke, A Tribe Called Judah tells the story of a family of boys, who decide to rob a mall to raise money for their mother’s hospital bill. However, on getting there, they are faced with armed robbers.
The film features Funke Akindele, Juliana Olayode, Nse Ikpe-Etim, Jidekene Achufusi, Nosa Rex, Uzee Uzman, Timini Egbuson, Tobi Makinde, Faithia Williams, Uzor Arukwe, Yvonne Jegede, Ebele Okaro and others.
