Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has gone to Dubai for Omo Ghetto The Saga premiere.
The 43-year-old shared a picture of herself in an Omo Ghetto customized shirt on Instagram on Tuesday.
She said the movie will be showing in some selected cinemas from January 21.
“How far Dubai? We don land o!!! #omoghettothesagamovie will be showing in UAE 🇦🇪 IN SELECTED NOVO CINEMAS from the 21st of January so get ready!!!” she wrote.
Her husband JJC Skillz also shared pictures on Instagram.
“I’m at the Top and I don’t want to ever come down 🥰 Forward forever ✊🏾 Backwards never 💯 @omoghettothesaga out in 🇦🇪 UAE,” he wrote.
Both Funke and JJC Skillz have been feeding eyes with beautiful pictures and videos on Instastories.
On Monday Funke shared a video of herself, husband and twins on the plane.
In January, Funke announced that Omo Ghetto will be setting the record of being the first Nigerian movie to be released in UAE, Dubai cinemas.
“Exciting News for UAE Omo Ghetto fans!The No. 1 film and box office record breaker in Nigeria — Omo Ghetto (The Saga) — is set to break yet another record as the First Ever Cinema Release of a Nigerian film in the United Arab Emirates,” she wrote.
Omo Ghetto (The Saga) was produced by Funke and her husband JJC Skillz born Abdulrasheed Bello.
The movie was premiered at EbonyLife Place, Lagos on December 20.
Chioma Akpotha, Eniola Badmus, Bimbo Thomas, RMD, Bovi among others shinned at the premiere.
Starring a lot of Nollywood stars, it was released in Nigeria cinemas on December 25, 2020.
Its prequel Omo Ghetto was released in 2010 starring Funke Akindele, Eniola Badmus, Bimbo Thomas, Adebayo Salami, Bose Adewoyin, Rachel Oniga, Taiwo Hassan and Yinka Quadri.
The movie is based on the life of two identical twins separated at birth, one of whom belongs to a violent female gang.
