Actress Funke Akindele has met Olajide Adediran aka Jandor, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Lagos State, amid the rumour of being the party’s deputy governorship candidate.
The actress was seen with Jandor in a video that circulated on the internet on Wednesday, July 6.
In the video which looked like a campaign trip to Ikorodu, the duo is surrounded by a group of people who cheered them while some took selfies with the actress.
Speculations that Funke Akindele is the running mate of the governorship candidate have been sparking mixed reactions on social media but the actress has not publicly confirmed the rumour.
Jandor emerged as the party’s candidate in the governorship election on Wednesday, May 26, 2022.
Speaking after the election, Jandor pledged to sit with all aspirants and leaders of the party to tap from their wealth of knowledge and experience in a bid to win Lagos for PDP.
Four contestants including Olanrewaju Jim-Kamal, Adedeji Doherty, Ade Dosunmu and Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour stepped down from the race.
