Actress turned politician Funke Akindele has mourned Ifeanyi Adeleke son of pop star Davido.
A source close to the family revealed that Ifeanyi drowned in a swimming pool at the family’s residence in Lagos on Monday October 31.
Reacting to the tragic news in an Instagram post on Tuesday, Funke Akindele prayed for the deceased and his family.
She wrote: “Sad. May the little champ’s soul rest in peace. Oh lord please comfort the hearts of Chioma and Davido and their families. Please grant them the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.”
Fellow actress Iyabo Ojo has also described the death as devastating and extremely painful.
She wrote on Instagram: “I don’t even know how to react to this rude shock. I was hoping it wasn’t true. My God this is shocking sad, devastating and extremely painful. Olorun Ikun le abiamoo. Haaa Noooo.”
Meanwhile, the police have started interrogating the domestic staff who were present when the incident occurred.
Police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin who spoke to reporters on Tuesday, said the command was questioning them to understand what really happened.
