Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele, has responded to the criticism she and her husband, JJC Skillz, have received over the party they hosted on Saturday to celebrate the latter’s 43rd birthday.
The 42-year-old responded to the issue in a video she shared on Instagram on Sunday.
She said, “…I will not intentionally mislead people… I want to explain what happened yesterday…Truly yesterday was my husband’s birthday. We both run Scene One studios… Before the pandemic, we all worked together before the lockdown…Some youths have been here rehearsing. The majority are the ones you saw in the video…I am sorry if I misled you…”
She also said that singer, Naira Marley, was at the party because he is making an appearance in a new movie they are working on, adding that he decided to stay in the studio after the lockdown was announced by the government.
Funke and JJC Skillz were criticised for having a party to celebrate the latter’s 43rd birthday on Saturday in violation of the social distancing rules put in place by the government to control the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
