Actresses Funke Akindele, Rita Dominic, Ini Edo, Gloria Young-Anozie and BBNaija’s Bam Bam have been nominated for the 2021 edition of the African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA).
The nominations announcement was held at the Ebony Life Place, Victoria Island, Lagos on Friday, October 29.
Funke and Rita were nominated for best actress in a leading role category for Omo Ghetto: The Saga and La Femme Anjola respectively. Omo Ghetto: The Saga was also nominated for best Nigerian film.
While Ini Edo and Gloria Young-Anozie received nominations for best supporting actress.
Big Brother reality star Oluwabmike Olawunmi-Adenibuyan popularly known as Bam Bam received a nomination for best young promising actor for her role in Collision Course.
Actor Bimbo Manuel also received a nomination for best supporting actor, while Lateef Adeimeji and Nonso Bassey got nominations in the best actor category.
