Nollywood fans have been treated to a good view as filmmaker Funke Akindele shared a kiss with her younger colleague Timini Egbuson to mark his birthday on June 10.
The celebration kicked off with Timini’s social media post where he announced his birthday in style.
Dressed in a crisp white suit, the movie star shared a series of photos on Instagram with the caption, “Guess what? It’s my birthday.”
The post garnered a flood of well-wishes from fans and fellow celebrities.
Funke took the celebration a step further by posting a heartfelt video on Instagram Story. The video shows the pair out together, with Funke saying, “I’m here with the birthday boy!!! Happy birthday to you, love you, God bless you.”
The video captures the moment Timini, beaming with joy, pecked Funke on the cheek, leaving both of them laughing. Funke captioned the video, “My darling @_timini birthday boy.”
In another affectionate clip, Funke is seen alongside Dakore Egbuson-Akande, Timini’s elder sister. The two share smiles and blow kisses to the camera, with Funke captioning it, “@Dakoreea my sister.”
This public display of affection follows the success of their collaboration in Funke’s blockbuster film, A Tribe Called Judah. Timini starred as Pere in the 2023 comedic drama which became Nigeria’s highest-grossing movie with over N1 billion in revenue across cinemas.
Despite not winning any award at the 2024 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) held last month, Funke has already moved on to her next project titled Finding Me which is set to be released soon.
