Femi Gbajabiamila, chief of staff to President Bola Tinubu, on Friday revealed that Funke Ogeah, the late wife of a former commissioner of information in Delta State Chike Ogeah, never asked him for personal assistance.
Mr Gbajabiamila stated this at the funeral service held at Trinity House, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The former Speaker of the House of Representatives began by saying he gets so many phone calls everyday by virtue of the office he holds and that almost all of the calls are for assistance.
“But it’s worth mentioning that Funke has called me twice over the years for assistance but what is remarkable is that both times that Funke called me, she called me for assistance regarding some other removed person,” he said.
“That’s Funke for you. She never asked me for any personal assistance. It was always for somebody who was far removed from me and far removed even from her. That is how I want us to remember this woman. She was selfless.”
