Nollywood actress, Funlola Aofiyebi-Raimi, has expressed gratitude on her nomination for 2018 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award (AMVCA).
Funlola was nominated as best supporting actress for her role in the movie, Tatu.
The Tinsel actress starred in the movie alongside, Segun Arinze, Desmond Elliot, Toyin Abraham, Rahama Sadau, Kunle Idowu (Frank Donga) and Afeez Oyetoro, amongst others.
In a post to Instagram on Monday, Funlola revealed this was her first AMVCA nomination.
“And I get my first AMVCA Nomination. #Tatu #GoFAR #Talent #BestSupportingActress #Thankful #FunlolaAofiyebiRaimi,” she wrote.
Tatu is nominated in 10 different categories such as best cinematography, best sound, best supporting actress and best lighting designer movie.
Funlola is nominated alongside Toyin Abraham (Tatu), Dorcas Fapson (Banana Island Ghost), Ebele Okaro (Blackrose), Lydia Forson (Isoken) and Emem Inwang (Alter Ego).
The University of Lagos graduate’s first shot at the big screen was in Amaka Igwe’s film Violated acting alongside Joke Silva, Richard Mofe Damijo, Ego Boyo and Kunle Bamtefa.
Funlola was nominated as best supporting actress for the 2010 Africa Movie Academy Award (AMAA) for her role in The Figurine directed by Kunle Afolayan.
