Media personality, Funmi Iyanda, has shared some throwback pictures of some of the guests on her defunct TV show, New Dawn.
The 48-year-old posted the pictures which featured celebrities such as Fuji musicians Obesere and Pasuma, Nollywood actor, Olu Jacobs; the late actress, Bukky Ajayi; and writer, Chimamanda Adichie on Instagram on Thursday.
Other famous faces on the photos include Frank Edoho, Denrele Edun, Betty Irabor, Fred Amata, the girl group, Emete featuring Ashionye Raccah and boyband, Styl Plus.
“We found some early New Dawn pics. See many faces you recognise from this batch,” she captioned the post.
New Dawn was a show independently produced and hosted by Funmi Iyanda on the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) from the year 2000 to 2008.
In a January 2016 interview, Funmi revealed that she stopped doing the show because of the challenges involved in producing it.
“The Nigerian media space is not designed to sustain a show like that, no matter how meritorious…,” she said.
