Moses Anjola, brother of the late actress Gbemi Anjola, has thanked all who attended his sister’s funeral on Sunday.
Gbemi, a fast-rising actress, died last Friday following a two-year battle with ovarian cancer. She was aged 33.
In an Instagram post on Monday, Moses prayed that all who attended Gbemi’s funeral would not weep over their loved ones.
“I want to use this medium to appreciate everyone that graced my @gbemisolanjola sister’s funeral yesterday, you have all left the various important things you were doing to pay her last respect, May you not have reasons to cry over your loved ones again,” he said.
Moses celebrated his 29th birthday on March 14 just 10 days before his sister’s death.
He reserved special mention for the Icon School of PFA whose managing director and chief executive officer is the actor and filmmaker Itele d Icon.
“My special thanks to @dicon_schoolofpfa you have really proved that you are more than a family.
“Also her friends and associates, can’t start mentioning names but all of you are most appreciated. May God reward you all for your utmost care and support for her,” Moses added.
Itele was one of those who assisted Gbemi while she was undergoing chemotherapy in Dubai, UAE. He was also one of those who first paid tributes to her on Instagram following her death.
