Kehinde Daniels, twin daughter of former Governor Gbenga Daniel of Ogun State, has held her registry wedding with media personality Debola Williams.
The event was held at EbonyLife Place in Lagos on Saturday, March 6.
It is the second phase of the wedding which started with an introduction/engagement ceremony on December 27, 2020.
Governors Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Nasir El-Rufai of Lagos and Kaduna states respectively were in attendance.
Timi Dakolo, Chigul and Bovi entertained the audience.
Kate Henshaw, Mo Abudu and other celebrities were also present at the event officiated by Pastor Ituah Ighodalo and other clerics.
More elaborate church and reception ceremonies have been postponed till the third quarter of the year because of the coronavirus.
Debola said that much in a message posted on Instagram.
“I particularly, am a child of the community raised by several aunties, uncles and friends, and I do not take their love for granted. I treasure and respect every one of you and for that reason we will wait.
“We are hoping by God’s grace the spread of the virus continues to decline.
“Whatever life offers at that time, we will make it work, but we hope for the best,” the groom said.
The introduction ceremony held at the Daniels’ residence in Maryland, Lagos in December was attended by politicians, traditional rulers, businessmen, celebrities and family members of the couple.
They include Bamidele Abiodun, wife of Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State and Rotimi Amaechi, Nigeria’s minister of transportation.
