Wale Adedayo, a former Chief Press Secretary to past Governor of Ogun State Governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, on Sunday won the primary of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) as the Ogun State House of Assembly candidate for Ijebu East State Constituency.
The former Punch politics editor joined SDP after his bid to contest on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) failed.
In a message posted on Facebook on Monday, Adedayo, who had a bitter falling out with Daniel whom he accused of plotting to kill him, said “I’ll not forget the sacrifices of our people in Ijebu East Local Government. They defied the odds and took side without consideration for pecuniary benefits.
“As a true Afenifere son, our people’s welfare and issues that’ll make them happy remain my major concerns.”
Adedayo was working in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) secretariat in Abeokuta, Ogun State from where he was deployed to work with Daniel.
