Gernot Rohr will remain coach of the Super Eagles for at least another two years after signing a contract extension with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
Rohr, 64, who took charge of the three-time African champions in 2016, was rewarded for guiding them to the FIFA World Cup in Russia.
“He has done a very good job and when someone does a good job, he gets a reward,” NFF first Vice President, Seyi Akinwunmi, revealed in an elaborate event at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos on Wednesday.
“We are proud to have taken Mr Rohr on board and we are delighted to be signing this contract extension with him.”
Since Rohr took charge of the Super Eagles, he has recorded seven wins, drawn four and lost just one game.
Besides the Franco-German, the Glass House also secured a new deal with popular soft drink company, Coca-Cola.
The beverage giants signed a five-year deal worth $4 million to become the official soft drink partners of all the country’s national team.
