Ghana beach soccer team, the Black Sharks, has been confirmed as one of the participants in this year’s Copa Lagos Beach Soccer Tournament.
The announcement was made by Samson Adamu, Chief Executive Officer, Kinetic Sports, organisers of Copa Lagos.
By this confirmation, Ghana Beach Soccer Team under the management of the Ghana Beach Soccer Association (GBSA) with a robust crop of skilful players will tackle Nigeria Super Sand Eagles, Switzerland and Cote d’Ivoire beach soccer teams in the round-robin tournament respectively.
Currently ranked 8th in Africa, Ghana has demonstrated its passion for beach soccer cultivating two competitive beach soccer leagues in the sub region.
Copa Lagos, the highly enthralling international beach soccer festival will hold this year at the Eko Atlantic City, Victoria Island, Lagos, from 12th to 14th December 2014.
