Football-loving Nigerians have stormed social media to react to Ghanaian actor John Dumelo’s statement about Black Stars defeating Super Eagles at the World Cup qualifiers.
In an Instagram post on Friday, Dumelo vowed to trek from Accra to Lagos if Super Eagles defeat the Black Stars of Ghana.
“There’s no way Nigeria will win today’s match. If they do, I John Setor Dumelo, will walk barefooted from Accra to Lagos tomorrow morning with my ginger on my head! Super eagles my foot,” he wrote.
Reacting to the statement, tweeps took to Instagram to declare their support for Super Eagles while others asked the actor to get ready to walk.
“I heard John Dumelo said he will trek if we will, oga better get bready cos Nigeria ain’t going nowhere,” @Chuka_987 wrote.
“Nigeria Customs and Immigration, please expect a visitor next week, he will be coming from the Seme border
He must trek reach Epe axis and must watch returning leg at Sangotedo before being allowed to turn back to Accra,” @Muhammed Mufasa wrote.
