Ghanaians and Nigerians have renewed their rivalry on social media as both countries go head to head in Kumasi on Friday night for a spot at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Both countries have played each other the most times on the African continent — 56 times.
During the period, the Black Stars have had the better of the Eagles with 25 wins, the Eagles have won 12 times while there have been 19 draws.
The Black Stars are currently unbeaten in four of their last meetings with the Super Eagles. Both teams have met five times during the World Cup qualifiers. Their last meeting in such circumstance came in 2002 with Nigeria edging Ghana for a place at the Korea/Japan 2002 FIFA World Cup.
