The service of songs and wake for the late Grace Okeleke wife of Globacom’s Head of Public Relations Andrew Okeleke held on Tuesday evening in Lagos.
Well attended by family members, church leaders, media practitioners and well-wishers, the programme held at the Okeleke’s residence in Ikorodu, Lagos.
Mrs Okeleke attempted to cross the road on May 11 after being dropped off by her driver around 7:20 pm when a BRT bus driver knocked her down and sped off.
Pastor of the Potter’s House Zone 1, Lagos Province 33 of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Ikorodu Yemi Ajijo in his sermon described the late Okeleke as an exemplary woman whose works and contributions speak more volume than seen.
Pastor Ajijo consoled the assembly, stressing that death is not the end of anybody but a transition to life without end.
The widow paid tributes to his late wife, saying: “She was the rallying point in the family, she was the planner, the builder, the encourager, the organiser. She contributed immensely to who and what I am today and that is why it pains me as her exit has pierced my heart. I love her, but I know God loves her more and at the end I pray we shall be together again.”
