A delegation from the Guild of Corporate Online Publishers (GOCOP) has paid a condolence visit to editor-in-chief of Greenbarge Reporters Yusuf Ozi-Usman over the death of his mother Aishatu Usman.
The two-man delegation consisted of GOCOP deputy president and publisher of Newsdiaryonline Danlami Nmodu and publisher of Neptune Prime Hassan Gimba.
Mrs Usman died on Sunday at her son’s residence in Abuja the after being bedridden for months.
Aged 86, she has been buried according to Islamic tradition.
In a statement on behalf of the family, Mr Ozi-Usman, who brought his mother to Abuja in 2013, said she lost her husband Usman Eneji Ondeku in 1982.
The deceased is survived by two other children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, stepchildren and other relatives.
The GOCOP delegation prayed that Allah will grant the deceased Aljanat Firdaus and give her family the fortitude to bear the loss.
In his reaction, Ozi-Usman expressed gratitude to GOCOP for the condolence visit.
