Gombe State Government has commiserated with Kannywood actor and producer, Ali Nuhu, on the death of his father, Nuhu Poloma.
Mr Poloma, who died on Monday aged 78, was a former state chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In a condolence message on Thursday, the state government expressed sadness on the death of late PDP stalwart.
Governor Yahaya Inuwa described him as a “respected elder statesman, courageous politician, and patriot who served the state and nation diligently as a federal lawmaker in the second republic, customs officer, public servant, party chieftain and community leader.”
He also said Poloma’s death was a great loss not only to his immediate family but the state and the nation as a whole.
The governor prayed that God would grant him eternal rest and help those he left behind to bear the loss.
