Gospel singer Segun Obe marries Ghanaian wife

Gospel singer and vocal coach Segun Obe has announced his marriage to the woman he described as the love of his life.

The younger brother of singer and actor Tunde Obe made the announcement on Instagram and Facebook on Saturday.

Tagging his post as breaking news, Segun Obe wrote” Not a word failed of ANY GOOD THING which the Lord has spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass (Joshua 21:45).”

The man who released his first single titled ‘Marry Me’ featuring Rymzo in 2006 continued “…and so, exactly a week ago, I got hitched with the love of my life NITA in the city of Accra in Ghana.

“God is never too early, or too late…He is ALWAYS right on time.

“To God be the glory.”

QEDNG learnt the wife’s name is Nita Aboagye.

Fans, friends and colleagues of the former Nigerian Idol voice trainer have been congratulating for getting married at an age when others may have given up on marriage.  

“Hallelujah oooooooooo!” fellow gospeller and initiator of the Hallelujah Challenge Nathaniel Bassey wrote in the comment section of the new husband’s post on Instagram.

“Congratulations bro. God bless your new home. So happy for you both,” fellow singer and songwriter Nikki Laoye wrote.

“What a beautiful occasion and fulfilment of God’s promise. I am happy to be a witness,” management consultant Abraham Great wrote.

“Nothing is too late to achieve. Congratulations brotherly. May your union be more blissful,” a friend Kayode Ogunleye wrote on Facebook.

Segun, who is reported to be 50 years old, has not been married before.
