In a bid to bring the best of digital experience to its subscribers, GOtv has announced interesting new drama series on its bouquet.
This announcement was officially made at a media round table which was held in Lagos on Friday.
Love… Look What You Made Me Do and If Only I Was You will debut on Zee World on May 15 and 23 May respectively.
Love… Look What You Made Me Do! narrates the essence of love as an intriguing and strange feeling, that when cupid strikes, it brings with it the feeling of happiness, pain, envy, greed, lust and sin. This new series deals with love and just how crazy things can get when a relationship doesn’t work out.
If Only I Was You is a humorous, romantic story where destiny leads twin brothers, separated at birth, to embark on separate paths only to reunite them years later. But a twist of fate will have the brothers exchange their identities, leaving them to face challenging, yet comical situations.
On May 11, Sony Max starts airing Impractical Jokers, an American hidden camera-practical joke reality series which follows the lives of Joe Gatto, James Murray, Brian Quinn and Sal Vulcano as they coerce one another into doing public pranks in New York.
The show is unique in its own way as the stars of Impractical Jokers do not know the details of the prank until the moment they are performing it on strangers.
While one cast-member performs the prank, the other three comedians in the troupe are behind the scenes feeding lines to their friend via a microphone (with an earpiece). The lines fed to the prankster create a humorous and awkward exchange between the prankster and the stranger being pranked.
On Disney Junior, PJ Masks, a super-hero cartoon series, is also scheduled to debut on May 6.
PJ Masks revolves around super-hero characters-Catboy, Gekko and Owlette, who are three normal friends by day, but once the sun goes down out comes The PJ Masks! This new gang of super heroes, in their pyjamas, takes kids on their night time adventures as they solve mysteries, work together and learn valuable lessons.
It was announced last week that in commemoration of Africa Day, May 25, GOtv has earmarked the entire month of May as Africa Month. Locally-produced content will witness the introduction of six new TV series on Africa Magic Family.
