Abdulganiyu Abdulrazaq father of Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has passed on at age 92.
Popularly known as AGF, Abdulrazaq died in the early hours of Saturday in Abuja.
His eldest son Alimi Abdulrazaq who announced his passage said he died less than four months to his 93rd birthday.
Abdulrazaq was the first lawyer from the northern part of the country and was the first Kwara commissioner of finance upon the creation of the state in 1967.
The former Nigerian ambassador to Cote d’Ivoire also worked at the Nigerian Stock Exchange for a number of decades.
He is survived by his wife, children and grandchildren.
The senior Abdulrazaq will be buried later in the day in Ilorin according to Islamic rites.
