Governor Bagudu’s wife stops convoy to meet Fulani girls

Zainab Bagudu, wife of Kebbi State Governor, Atiku Bagudu, has stopped her convoy to meet Fulani girls during the Sallah celebration.

Zainab said in a tweet on Wednesday that her convoy met several Fulani girls who were on traditional Sallah visits on Tuesday.

She added that the girls had initially run away when she stopped her convoy to felicitate with them.

“Yesterday on our way back from Zuru, we met these cute Fulani girls on traditional sallah visits “yawo”. We decided to stop and give them token gifts from their mama aisha @aishambuhari. Initially most ran off, scared. Typical and Irony of a tribe labelled violent and hostile,” Zainab said.

Zainab is a paediatric consultant and a child’s right advocate.

After graduating from Queens College Lagos in 1984, Dr Zainab obtained an MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

She then proceeded to the United Kingdom for specialist training in Paediatrics and Neonatology which lasted nine years.

Amongst others, she obtained a Masters in Paediatrics, Diploma in tropical child health and membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child health.
