Afrobeat musician, Dede Mabiaku, has, dismissed the Change agenda of President Muhammadu Buhari, saying politicians are insensitive to the plight of ordinary Nigerians.
Speaking in an interview with SaharaTV, the Fela protégé said that in spite of biting recession in the country, governors are still squandering money on irrelevant things.
“Some of them are still even importing girls into Nigeria,” the fiery saxophonist alleged.
He had earlier in the interview criticised Buhari for the “lavish” wedding of his daughter, Zahra, “in the middle of the suffering of your people”.
The once married Dede said it was wrong for the President to hold such “grandiose” wedding for when the people are in pain.
He also has harsh words for lawmakers who earn fat allowances while the people suffer and can barely afford to eat.
