Gunmen on Sunday morning attacked Ibadan-based Fresh FM owned by musician Yinka Ayefele, making away with valuables.
The three-man gang stormed the radio station around 6:30am during a live broadcast and dispossessed staff on duty of laptops, phones and others.
A member of staff of Fresh FM Kenny Ogunmiloro said on Twitter that no one was hurt in the attack.
“Nowhere is safe again, not even radio stations are spared again in the porous level of insecurity in the country.
“My radio station was robbed by 3 armed men this morning around 6.15 am. Phones, laptops, ATM cards, and gadgets were taken away but no one was hurt. This is sad,” Ogunmiloro said.
The police have yet to make a statement on the incident as of press time.
Fresh FM was partly demolished in August 2018 by the Abiola Ajimobi administration for alleged violation of urban and physical planning laws of the state.
The radio station, which was allegedly valued at N800 million, was reconstructed four months later by the same administration following outcry.
