The suspended managing director of Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA) Hadiza Usman on Thursday joined Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai in Zaria for the Eid el-Fitri celebration.
Usman was suspended last week by President Muhammadu Buhari on the recommendation of the minister of transportation Rotimi Amaechi over allegations of financial misappropriation.
The suspended NPA boss and Mr El-Rufai joined the emir of Zazzau Ahmad Bamalli for Eid el-Fitr prayers.
In a tweet, Usman said they remain resolute she would be vindicated.
“At the place of the Emir of Zazzau with my forever Boss @elrufai. We remain resolute in the believe that the truth always triumphs…Allah’s protection and guidance for always,” she wrote.
The governor also shared a picture of himself with her on Twitter appearing to show support for the woman who was his chief of staff from 2015 to 2016.
Buhari had in January reappointed Usman for a second term of five years as NPA boss.
Usman was born on January 2, 1976 in Zaria.
