Ailing Nollywood actress, Halima Abubakar, has thanked her colleague, Chika Ike, for her prayers and monetary support.
The Kogi-born actress, who underwent a surgery for fibroid in India, sent the message in an Instagram post on Wednesday night.
“Chika called several times to pray for me and she did today too (bless her) she gave me money and insisted it was a token (I was touched) Chika you totally surprised me and am grateful,” she wrote.
A picture of the stricken actress posted by another colleague, Tonto Dikeh, on July 16 prompted some fans to suggest that a fundraiser should be organised for her.
Rejecting the idea, Halima wrote in a July 19 Instagram post that nobody should donate money on her behalf.
The Tears of a Child actress is treating complications that arose after her surgery in India.
