Nollywood actress, Halima Abubakar, has thanked publishers of VL Magazine for putting her on the cover of the May edition.
In a message posted to Instagram on Tuesday, the 32-year-old said they created magic with the cover shoot.
She also added a bit of inspirational message.
“You are not at the mercy of fate, of luck, of happenstance, of other people. The God who flung the stars into space, the God who causes the earth to rotate down to the exact millisecond has ordered your steps,” she wrote.
Halima revealed in an Instagram post last month that she was in a coma for three days in March 2018.
The actress underwent a surgery for fibroid in India last year and the nature of her illness was a subject of social speculations.
She had to deny rumours that she was battling cancer, and asked fans not to contribute money on her behalf.
Among those who came to her aid were the wife of Kogi State governor, Mrs Rashida Bello, and fellow actresses, Tonto Dikeh and Chika Ike.
Ovation publisher, Dele Momodu, also posted a prayer for her on Instagram, in a message posted on Instagram, urging her to “please get well and stay strong”.
