Deputy Governor of Lagos State Obafemi Hamzat on Friday received Estonian athlete and three-time world champion Jaan Roose after the latter’s historic slacklining in Lagos.
Mr Roose, on Thursday, walked over the skyline of Lagos, from Sterling Towers in Marina to the Onome Rig, causing a stir.
The athlete was brought to Lagos by Red Bull for the project described as the Perfect Lagos Selfie.
Roose described his Lagos experience as wonderful, noting that he got the best view and angle of Lagos from that height. He also told the deputy governor that Lagos State is a very advanced city and spoke glowingly about the Lagos Blue Line Rail he saw while performing the act.
Hamzat, who was representing Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, thanked Roose for coming to Lagos and telling the world a good story of the state.

He also presented Eyo Masquerade 3-D collection to Roose as a gift from the people and government of Lagos State.
Known for possessing nerves of steel, Roose is a three-time world champion and Guinness World Record holder.
When the 31-year-old started slacklining at the age of 18, he never dreamed that it would one day lead to him thrilling crowds all over the world with his unique tricks.
He is the first and only athlete to perform a double backflip on a slackline.
