Publisher of Ovation Magazine Dele Momodu on Saturday said the businessman Harry Akande is the second Ibadan billionaire to die in 2020.
Mr Momodu tweeted this shortly after the Akande family announced the passage of their patriach.
An influential Ibadan industrialist Bode Akindele had died on June 29 in Lagos.
“CHIEF HARRY AYOADE AKANDE had held America spellbound with his Hollywood star-like lifestyle. He is the second Ibadan billionaire to pass on this year after the departure of The Parakoyi, CHIEF BODE AKINDELE. May their souls Rest in Peace,” Momodu wrote.
Born on March 3, 1943, Mr. Akande died in the early hours of Saturday after a brief illness, his family said in a statement signed by son Olumide Akande.
