Eden Hazard has praised “great manager” Maurizio Sarri but says that the jury is still out until Chelsea endure a bad run of form.
The Blues have failed to win just one of the former Napoli manager’s opening seven games in charge, having been held to a goalless draw by West Ham United at the weekend.
Sarri has previously been hailed by Hazard for helping to bring back confidence in the Chelsea camp, with the Belgian one of those to have experienced problems under departed boss Antonio Conte.
Hazard admits that tougher times may lie ahead, however, telling Sky Sports News: “We try to keep the ball. When you are an offensive player you just want to keep the ball. We create a lot of passes and chances.
“We had a bit of trouble [against West Ham] but I think the beginning of the season was great. He is a great manager, but it’s easy to say when you are winning games. We will see in a bad moment. For sure he is a great manager, and he showed that to the world.”
Next up for Chelsea is a double-header against Liverpool in the EFL Cup and Premier League.
