Actor and media personality Gideon Okeke has sparked a buzz on social media with a series of rants slamming his senior colleague, Jim Iyke.
In the remarks shared on Sunday on his Instagram Story, Gideon described Jim as a “small boy” and accused him of being talentless, fake and lacking authenticity.
The Tinsel actor claimed Iyke uses a “fake American accent” and questioned his contributions to the industry.
“I’ve met some solid individuals, while I’ve also met some phoney peeps,” Okeke wrote.
“Like that Jim Iyke guy who wants to be a goldfish but has no sense of character. Small boy to me, small boy. If only Jim Iyke could act! He would have been an actor. But sorry, he’s a phoney-ass kneegar.”
On Monday on his Instagram page Gideon added another layer to the controversy by alleging he sustained an injury on the set of Jim’s production earlier in the year.
“For clarity and for the benefit of my new employers and supporters, had I gotten more than these two stitches on the set of Jim Iyke’s production, you all would still call me a fool, I guess,” he wrote.
Gideo claimed that the injury took three months to heal, adding, “I am committed to ensuring safety at the Nollywood workplace.”
He further emphasised his resolve to prevent similar incidents in the future.
“Sometimes I ask myself, why was it me who got hurt? I guess it’s so nobody else has to take one for the team. But Jim Iyke is running. Small boy!”
The posts have generated mixed reactions online, with some fans questioning what prompted the actor’s outburst.
Neither Jim Iyke nor his representatives have responded to the allegations as of press time.
