Comedienne and actress Helen Paul is reportedly undergoing a postdoctoral study in an undisclosed university in the United States.
According to The Nation, the TV host is aiming at becoming a professor soonest.
In March 2019, Helen bagged her Ph.D in Theatre Arts from the University of Lagos (UNILAG).
She immediately took to Instagram to announce she had become the first Nigerian stand-up comedian to bag a doctorate degree.
The Nation quoted a source close to her who said she also works as a lecturer in a US university.
The source said: “While studying to become a professor, she is also working as a lecturer in one of the institutions in the US.”
The source further described her as an inspiration to the young generation.
Helen Paul began her career as a freelance and full-time presenter at several media houses in Nigeria. These include Lagos Television (LTV 8), Continental Broadcasting Service (CBS), and MNet.
As a comedienne, her first professional performance happened while she was a student at UNILAG. She attended an event with a group of friends but the stand-up comic billed to perform failed to show up.
The 42-year-old is a recipient of several awards including African Film Award and Exquisite Lady of the Year Award among others.
