Veteran musician Charly Boy has tackled Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai for mocking a man named Abdullahi Zarma on Twitter who called for two million people to join the rally for Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi in Kaduna.
Obi’s supporters have been holding rallies across the nation to garner support for the candidate who is perceived by many to be anti-establishment.
Reacting to Zarma’s post on Monday, El-Rufai said, with laughing emojis, that he hopes Obi gets 200 people to join the rally.
Reacting to the governor’s tweet on Monday, Charly Boy wrote: “Can you just imagine dis clannish clown, El Rufai, wey dey owe workers salary. Kaduna is now the leading state in terrorism. The once upon a time very peaceful state is now a bandit paradise. Many of the victims of the Kaduna train attack dem still hold hostage.”
“The only tin wey dey worry dis clown na the one million March pass by Peter Obi supporters. Nonsense,” he added.
In another tweet, the 72-year-old wrote: “I bin tell una say APC and PDP na the same ashawo mama born dem. Atiku says him go end ASUU strike if he becomes president.
Na so. No be the same person wey brag say majority of northerners are illiterates by saying that 90% of ’em are not on social media. I come ask, na which people dey responsible for dat kin high level of illiteracy. Now he wants to fight for education, but yet celebrates naivety? Nonsense.”
