Henry Onyekuru may have narrowly missed out on Nigeria’s World Cup squad, however, the Everton youngster was still grateful for all he has achieved.
Onyekuru clocked 21 on Tuesday and the ex-Eupen forward was simply grateful for the journey thus far.
He took to Twitter to share a photo of his early days at Aspire Academy.
I thank the Lord for everything he has done for me the past 21 years.. I’m blessed to have the opportunity to do what I love and take care of my people. Happy Birthday to me #21 pic.twitter.com/krMMRC4hVG

Henry was snapped up by the Qatari-based academy in 2010.
He developed superbly through the ranks, ultimately earning a move to Eupen in Belgium five years later.
In just two seasons there, the 21-year-old established himself as a frightful flanker, hitting 28 goals in 57 matches.
His fine showing alerted a host of top sides with Everton winning the battle for his services.
He spent last season on loan at Anderlecht where he notched 11 goals before an injury ended his campaign in December.
Had Onyekuru remained fit, he would have probably made the trip to Russia.
He has two caps for the three-time African champions.
