Mother of the chef Hilda Baci, who has set a yet-to-be-verified world record for the longest cooking time, has reflected on her struggle following her daughter’s success.
Hilda Baci, a native of Akwa Ibom, has been the nation’s darling since she embarked on a mission on May 11 to have her name in the Guinness Book of Records.
Several politicians and celebrities have identified with the cook to cheer her on.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu visited her on Sunday at Amore Gardens, Lekki, Lagos State which has become a tourist attraction since May 11.
Hilda Baci’s mother made a video which she sent to digital evangelist Pastor Jerry Eze, thanking him for his prayers.
Eze posted the video on Twitter on Monday.
The woman said Hilda Baci’s success is as a result of Eze’s prayers on an online digital prayer meeting tagged ‘New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declaration.’
The woman explained that sometime ago the landlord of the apartment where she was living advised her to rent a room in Lugbe, Abuja so she could comfortably pay the rent.
“It means I was only able to rent one room in Lugbe. This is the woman now talking to presidents, governors, shaking hands, money, everything. God, indeed, there’s nothing you cannot do,” she said.
Earlier, the woman said, “The spotlight is on me. You know the governor of Lagos State spoke with me one-on-one. You know the vice president (Yemi Osinbajo) called. You know I’m speaking with kings and not mean men because my hope and trust has been on the Lord of Pastor Jerry.”
