The remains of billionaire and philanthropist Captain Hosa Okunbo on Wednesday arrived Benin, Edo State for his final passage to eternity.
Okunbo died on August 7 in a London hospital.
His funeral began with tributes on Tuesday. It will continue on Wednesday, his younger brother Kingsley Okunbo had announced at a news briefing on Monday in Benin.
Media mogul Dele Momodu posted on Instagram a video of an aircraft arriving with the businessman’s remains.
The service of songs would hold on Thursday followed by the funeral service on Friday.
On Saturday, the family will hold what it calls a social wake (party) while Sunday will be for thanksgiving.
Mr Okunbo had also said all Covid-19 protocols would be strictly adhered to, adding that the state government has approved a vaccination post for the venue.
