Former Miss Croatia Ivana Knoll has been labelled the sexiest fan at the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Qatar for the eye-catching daring dresses she wears to support her country.
Despite Qatar’s conservative rules, the 30-year-old model and influencer has worn some of her skimpiest outfits at the tournament.
She’s been branded “disrespectful” by some.
But that didn’t stop her from sporting a figure-hugging one-piece bikini covered in Croatia’s traditional checkerboard red and white colours. Ivana posed on a beach in Doha, showing off her backside to her 1.4 million Instagram followers.
Knoll has been nicknamed the World Cup’s hottest fan after previously sauntering around Qatar in a G-string swimsuit, breaking a few cultural standards along the way.
Qatar has enacted tight attire regulations for the World Cup. Visitors have been advised to cover their shoulders and avoid short skirts. There are high fines and even jail sentences for fans who flash their figures.
Commenting on the potential culture clash, Knoll said: “First I was thinking if the World Cup is happening there (Qatar), for sure they will allow us everything to make it comfortable for all fans without any of the restrictions.
“Then I heard about the rules and I was shocked. The dress code forbids showing shoulders, knees, belly and everything and I was like, ‘Oh my God, I don’t even have the clothes to cover all of that.'”
She continued, “I was super angry because if I’m not a Muslim and if we in Europe respect hijab and niqab, I think they need also to respect our way of life, our religion and in the end me wearing dresses, bikinis because I’m Catholic from Croatia who is here because of the World Cup.”
When asked if she felt that there was any risk of her being arrested, Knoll said: “I am never afraid of something like that.”
Knoll previously hit the headlines in 2018 for her choice of outfits at the World Cup in Russia.
