House of Ga’a enters Netflix top 10 in multiple countries

Director Bolanle Austen-Peters’ latest movie House of Ga’a has entered Netflix top 10 in multiple countries.

Bolanle revealed this in a post on Tuesday on her Instagram page.

The post featured pictures of the Netflix ranking, a background of the movie, and reviews.

She captioned her post, “Guys four days into it! We are nailing it! Thank you all! Let’s continue to spread the word! House of Ga’a is showing on @naijaonnetflix.

“Tell a friend to tell a friend and keep sharing! Let’s show the world our beautiful stories and costumes and sophisticated structures.”

House of Ga’a entered the top 10 on Netflix on July 26, the same day it premiered.

Set in the 18th century Yoruba history, the movie tells the story of a power-hungry political figure, Ga’a, who orchestrates a brutal betrayal within the Oyo Empire, leading to his eventual downfall and death.

The cast includes Funke Akindele, Toyin Abraham, Mike Afolarin, Ibrahim Chatta, and others.
